Length Of Training

Phlebotomy - Nurse Taking Blood for Laboratory Testing

Weekday classes = 3 Weeks, for a total of 68 hours.

DAYS REQUIRED EACH WEEK & HOURS OF INSTRUCTION

Morning Session; 24 hrs of classroom theory required each week

  • Classroom Instruction = 5 hours (9:00am- 2:00pm)

Evening Session; 24 hrs of classroom theory required each week

  • Classroom Instruction = 5 hours (5pm- 9:00pm)

Weekend Session; 24 hrs of classroom theory required each week

  • Saturday & Sunday
  • Classroom Instruction = 5 hours (9am- 3:00pm)

Graduation Requirements

Graduation
  • Complete all 68 clock hours for Theory/Skills Skills at a minimum 90% attendance rate with  6.8 hours or more clock hours from the Phlebotomy program is the maximum number of hours that is allowed for a make- up
  • 100% attendance rate for Laboratory Skills 
  • Achieve at least a cumulative 80% average on all quizzes, Research and exams and,
  • Demonstration of other identified skills competencies as listed on the skills checklist with a minimum 80% proficiency. 
  • 30 Successful Venipunctures and 10 Capillary Punctures to be performed in the Skills Lab.
  • Satisfy all financial obligations to Gandhi Health Care

Important: Gandhi Health Care will only issue an Achievement Award when all above criteria are fulfilled.
